Orlando, Fla. – September 12, 2012 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Suzanne E. Gilbert, a partner in the firm's Orlando office, has been elected president of the American Counsel Association.
The American Counsel Association is the oldest association of independent law firms in the world and is comprised of approximately 300 members from across the United States, Canada, England, and other countries. The ACA was formed for the purpose of enhancing standards of practice, aiding deserving law students, and providing a social and business network for its distinguished members.

Ms. Gilbert serves as the practice group leader for the firm's Central Florida Litigation Group, and practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy and creditors' rights. In 2012, Ms. Gilbert was named one of the "Top 50 Women" by Florida Super Lawyers magazine and the "Orlando Litigation Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year" by The Best Lawyers in America. She is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
