Real Estate Attorney Susan Booth Receives 2013 Chambers USA "Women in Law" Award

LOS ANGELES – January 16, 2013 – Holland & Knight real estate attorney Susan J. Booth was named the "Up-and-Coming Real Estate Lawyer of the Year" at the 2013 Chambers USA "Women in Law" Awards ceremony, held January 15 in New York City. The "Women in Law" awards, presented annually, recognize the most outstanding female lawyers throughout the United States during the past year.

"I am proud to be among such an excellent group of female in-house and private practice lawyers who are dedicated to the advancement of women in the law," said Ms. Booth. “My approach to women’s issues in the legal profession is to speak by doing — to change things from the inside. I believe in getting involved in organizations and educating in a way that will help a greater percentage of women become leaders in the legal profession, the real estate industry and the community.”

Ms. Booth, who is based in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office, is the leader of the firm's West Coast Real Estate Group and among the most prominent real estate attorneys in the region. In 2012, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the industry, chose her as one of its "Women at the Top" and the city of Los Angeles gave her a commendation for her impact on commercial real estate. In addition, she served as chair of the 2012 Benjamin S. Crocker Symposium on Real Estate Law and Business, the foremost conference of its type in California. She is a member of Holland & Knight's Directors Committee.
