Leonard Gilbert and Suzanne Gilbert Elected Leaders of The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society

Tampa, Fla. – May 21, 2013 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Leonard H. Gilbert, a partner in the firm's Tampa office, has been elected president of The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society, Inc. Additionally, Suzanne E. Gilbert, a partner in Holland & Knight's Orlando office, has been elected as Vice President-Florida.

The purpose of The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society is to keep a record of the history of the courts of the Eleventh Circuit as institutions and of the judges who have served these courts. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit has jurisdiction over federal cases originating in the states of Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Leonard Gilbert is a member of the firm's Financial Services Practice Group and represents clients in the areas of commercial finance, asset based lending, creditors' rights, insolvency, arbitration and commercial litigation. He is recognized as a top bankruptcy and creditors' rights lawyer by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America, and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Gilbert is a former president of The Florida Bar and member of its Board of Governors. He is a current member of the American Bar Association's House of Delegates and formerly served as the director of the American Bar Foundation.

Suzanne Gilbert serves as the practice group leader for Holland & Knight's Central Florida Litigation Group, and practices in the areas of business and financial litigation, real estate litigation, and creditors' rights. In 2012, Ms. Gilbert was named the "Orlando Litigation Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year" by The Best Lawyers in America. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
