Holland & Knight Earns Gold Standard Recertification From The Women in Law Empowerment Forum
The firm is one of 42 U.S. law firms that met the criteria for empowering women attorneys.
MIAMI - June 17, 2013 - For the third year in a row, Holland & Knight earned Gold Standard Certification from The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for its achievement in providing women attorneys with opportunities for financial success and positions at the highest level of firm leadership. WILEF's Gold Standard Certification Awards Initiative is the only initiative directed toward certifying and publicly recognizing eligible law firms that have met their criteria for empowering women attorneys.
This year WILEF tightened its standards, requiring law firms to meet four out of six criteria that demonstrate women are represented within the firm's equity partner ranks, hold meaningful leadership positions within the firm, participate in partner compensation decisions, and have ample opportunities for financial recognition and reward. Law firms with 200 or more practicing attorneys in the U.S. were eligible to apply and 42 firms met the criteria.
"It is an honor to receive recertification, especially considering that WILEF raised the bar this year," said Tammy Knight, Chair of Holland & Knight's Women's Initiative. "Our Women's Initiative and Rising Star® programs have given many the tools to succeed, and we are continually evaluating our policies and practices to ensure we recruit, retain and promote the best in our profession."
