MIAMI (March 11, 2014) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Tiffani Lee, a partner in the firm's Miami office, has been appointed by Chief U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno as a member of the Federal Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel.
The 11-member panel is tasked with evaluating the appointment and re-appointment of magistrate judges for the Southern District of Florida. Members serve 180-day terms.
Ms. Lee practices in the area of business litigation. In addition to her litigation practice, she serves as Holland & Knight's Diversity Partner.
Ms. Lee was the first African-American woman to serve as president of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, and she currently serves on the Association's board of directors. She is recognized as a top lawyer by Florida Trend's Legal Elite, South Florida Legal Guide and Super Lawyers.
Ms. Lee is also a member of the boards of directors of Street Law, Inc., Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and a trustee of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church.
