Scott C. Wallace Appointed Executive Partner of Holland & Knight’s Dallas Office

Dallas Executive Partner Scott C. Wallace

DALLAS (July 13, 2015) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Scott C. Wallace has been named the new executive partner of the firm's Dallas office. Mr. Wallace will oversee the day-to-day management of the 35-lawyer office, while continuing his corporate finance practice. He succeeds James Chadwick, who has served as executive partner since the office opened in 2013 and will continue his successful legal practice with the firm.

Mr. Wallace was part of the 23-lawyer team who moved to Holland & Knight in 2013 to found the Dallas office.  He has practiced law in Dallas for more than 20 years and counsels financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including asset-based and cash flow lending, subordinated debt, mezzanine and structured finance transactions, as well as workouts and restructurings. He also represents borrowers in financing transactions, and buyers and sellers in acquisition transactions.

"Under Jim Chadwick's leadership, the firm's entry into the Dallas market has been an unqualified success," said Steven Sonberg, Holland & Knight's managing partner. "Scott has been an important contributor and will play a key role as we continue to expand in Texas in order to become a more valuable local and national partner to our clients."

"I am very excited to build on our recent successes in Dallas, including the addition earlier this year of a five-member real estate team led by Jonetta Brooks and Gene Segrest as well as hospitality industry partner Kelly Franklin Bagnall," said Mr. Wallace. "There's significant potential for growth in Dallas and building the Holland & Knight brand in this market will be a top priority."

Holland & Knight's Dallas attorneys represent a broad range of clients in transactional and litigation matters, including financial institutions, investment funds, finance companies, private equity groups, hedge funds, asset managers, and other corporate and commercial enterprises. Practice areas include finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, hospitality, litigation, energy, restructuring, bankruptcy and general corporate representation.
