Holland & Knight Partner Lynn Calkins Named Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America
WASHINGTON (December 4, 2015) – Lynn Calkins, the leader of the litigation practice in Holland & Knight’s Washington office, has been selected as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). She is a trial lawyer and appellate advocate who has successfully prosecuted and defended actions in local and federal courts across the country.
Ms. Calkins focuses her practice on federal regulatory claims, Administrative Procedures Act disputes and complex commercial litigation, representing clients in civil disputes involving the federal government and plaintiff advocacy groups, as well as real estate investment trusts, developers, hotels, website operators, restaurants and local governments in defense of claims under the Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. She also counsels businesses and developers in a wide range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract cases, zoning appeals, restrictive covenant issues, breach of trust cases and tax reimbursement claims against the United States.
A frequent author and speaker, Ms. Calkins serves on the National Multifamily Housing Council’s Advisory Committee, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland’s Bench-Bar Liaison Committee and the DC Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She also is a member of The Barristers.
