Holland & Knight Earns "Mansfield Certified Plus" Status from Diversity Lab for Fourth Straight Year
MIAMI (September 13, 2021) – For the fourth year in a row, Holland & Knight has achieved "Mansfield Certified Plus" status from Diversity Lab, an incubator for innovative ideas and solutions that boost diversity and inclusion in law. The Mansfield Rule initiative aims to increase the number of women, minority, LGBTQ+ and disabled lawyers in leadership and governance roles at law firms.
The Mansfield Rule Certification process measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions. In all, 118 participating firms met the requirements to become "Mansfield Certified."
Holland & Knight also belongs to a smaller subset of firms achieving "Mansfield Certified Plus" designation. This category recognizes that, in addition to meeting or exceeding the baseline certification requirements, underrepresented lawyers represent at least 30 percent of a significant number of firm leadership roles.
