Samantha Ahearn

Samantha Ahearn is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the Public Policy & Regulation Group. Ms. Ahearn advises gaming industry clients on litigation, legislative and regulatory strategy, business transactions, disputes, crisis response and risk management matters across a broad range of gaming operations.

Ms. Ahearn represents and advises casino gaming, iGaming, sports betting, fantasy sports, sweepstakes and emerging-format gaming operators, vendors and entrepreneurs on state, federal and Tribal gaming issues. She provides guidance on licensing and regulatory compliance matters, drafts legal opinions supporting gaming operations, and assists clients launching new products and navigating evolving legislative and regulatory frameworks. Clients also rely on her for strategic counsel regarding industry innovation and emerging gaming technologies.

In addition, Ms. Ahearn has experience handling complex commercial litigation and business disputes, insurance disputes, labor and employment matters, consumer protection issues and internal investigations. Her litigation background enables her to provide practical, risk-based advice to gaming industry clients facing regulatory scrutiny, commercial disputes and operational challenges.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Ahearn was an associate in the Boston office of an AmLaw 100 law firm, where she focused on complex commercial litigation, business disputes, insurance matters and labor and employment issues. Before attending law school, she worked as a court advocate assisting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking who were seeking protective orders.
