Jorge Ballen

Jorge Ballen is an attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office and a member of the Financial Services Team. Mr. Ballen's practice focuses on representing public and private companies, as well as financial institutions, in cross-border capital markets, private equity and financing transactions, particularly those involving Latin American projects or parties.

In addition, Mr. Ballen has represented debtors and creditors in various financing structures for projects in Latin America, including securities offerings and project bonds, commercial bank debt, Section 4(a)(2) private placements, and other financing combinations. Mr. Ballen also has experience in the infrastructure, oil and gas, and energy sectors.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Ballen was an attorney at another international law firm in New York and also previously practiced in Colombia.
