Overview
Leonard C. Brahin is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office. Mr. Brahin frequently handles expedited matters, representing plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation involving temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. These include high-stakes business disputes, specifically regarding corporate governance conflicts.
Mr. Brahin's practice includes advising on professional responsibility matters and constitutional law. He develops legal frameworks for law firm management services organizations (MSOs) and advises attorneys on best practices to reduce regulatory exposure. In addition, he brings extensive experience in researching and writing on significant constitutional issues, including the separation of powers, the First Amendment and administrative agencies.
While in law school, Mr. Brahin spent two semesters externing for the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and one semester assisting with nearly two dozen appeals for the Honorable John Z. Lee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. During that time, he was an active member on the DePaul Law Review, Moot Court, Decalogue Society and DePaul Federal Bar Association.
Prior to law school, Mr. Brahin worked for a transportation logistics company in Chicago.
