Jarod A. Brazel

Jarod A. Brazel represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex trust and estate disputes, helping clients pursue efficient and creative resolutions from pre-suit through trial. Based in Tampa, he also has significant experience in real estate and commercial litigation, including business divorces, partnership disputes and claims involving breach of contract, fraud and business torts. Jarod's commercial litigation background is useful when trust and estate disputes intersect with business and real estate interests, as they often do.

Jarod's fiduciary litigation practice covers will and trust contests, claims of undue influence and lack of testamentary capacity, accounting actions and proceedings to interpret, modify or terminate trust instruments, as well as actions to remove or surcharge fiduciaries.

Jarod works closely with clients to define strategy and achieve their goals at every stage of a dispute. Before joining Holland & Knight, he was an attorney at a full-service law firm in Tampa, where he litigated fiduciary and commercial disputes.

While in law school, he received seven book awards and was a notes and comments editor for the Florida Law Review. His combination of fiduciary and commercial litigation experience allows Jarod to bring a practical, business-minded approach to sensitive family and financial disputes.
