Overview

Josiah Chacko is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office and a member of the Private Wealth Services Group.

Mr. Chacko supports domestic and international nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, including private foundations, public charities, social welfare organizations and trade associations. He focuses his practice on a range of issues, such as nonprofit formation, applying for and maintaining tax-exempt status, charitable giving, fundraising, corporate structuring and transactions, corporate governance, operational policies and procedures, and tax and regulatory compliance.

Prior to his current position at Holland & Knight, Mr. Chacko was a law clerk in the Dallas office and gained valuable experience supporting nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations in corporate governance and tax compliance matters. Mr. Chacko was also a summer associate in the Dallas office, where he assisted with a variety of corporate and real estate matters.

While in law school, Mr. Chacko was an associate managing editor for the International Law Review Association. He also participated in the Business Law Leadership Program and earned a certificate in business law.
