Maria J. de la Motte is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office.
During law school, Ms. de la Motte was a student attorney in the Community Business Clinic, which allows students to develop transactional lawyering skills by working with entrepreneurs and small businesses, especially those from underserved communities. She also served as a Lawyering Fellow for the Legal Skills in Social Context program, where she assisted faculty and first-year law students on social justice projects. In addition, Ms. de la Motte was a senior staff member for the Northeastern University Law Review and a teaching assistant for first year Property.
While in law school, Ms. de la Motte worked at the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, where she gained exposure to the practice of real estate, construction and energy law. Additionally, she worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patti B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Prior to law school, Ms. de la Motte worked in the hospitality industry in New York City for six years, most recently as a senior wholesale manager responsible for providing service to restaurants, hotels, multiunit concepts and corporate dining programs.
