Liz Ford

Elizabeth M. Ford brings federal and state tax controversy experience to estate and trust administration for high-net-worth clients. She prepares estate, gift, individual, trust and business tax returns, helping families meet their obligations with care and guiding them through federal and state audits. Based in Boston, she is a member of Holland & Knight's Private Wealth Services Group.

Working closely with the Firm's Portland, Chicago, Stamford, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Tampa offices, Elizabeth guides clients from across the U.S. through estate and trust administration, from asset valuation and tax returns to probate and family court proceedings. She also drafts bespoke estate planning documents.

Before joining Holland & Knight, Elizabeth practiced at a Boston boutique law firm, where she helped individual and business clients resolve federal (IRS) and state tax controversies. She also advised private charitable foundations, individuals and business entities on representation, compliance and estate planning matters, including complex trusts for asset protection. That background in tax controversy informs the care she brings to the continued controversy, tax returns, planning and administration matters she handles today.

Before her legal career, Elizabeth taught for two years in Mississippi as a member of Teach for America.
