Overview
Chazz Freeman is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, where he focuses on litigation and dispute resolution at both the trial and appellate levels. His experience includes complex commercial matters, white collar criminal defense and internal investigations.
Additionally, Mr. Freeman works on appeals in state and federal court and contributed to an amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A lifelong equestrian, Mr. Freeman is also familiar with legal issues involving horses and the equine industry.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Freeman gained hands-on experience in both the federal and state court systems. He served as a judicial extern to the Honorable George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Patrick M. Hunt, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida. He also interned in the Queens (New York) District Attorney's Office, where he focused on prosecuting domestic violence cases.
During law school, Mr. Freeman competed in the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition and taught constitutional and criminal law to high school students.
