Overview

Art Garcia is a Los Angeles attorney and member of Holland & Knight's Labor and Employment Group. Mr. Garcia's practice focuses on a variety of matters involving wage and hour compliance, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation and harassment.

In addition, Mr. Garcia helps clients navigate leave and reasonable accommodation laws, employee and independent contractor classifications, exempt and nonexempt employee statuses, reductions in workforce, union matters and internal investigations.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Garcia was an attorney at a global labor and employment defense firm, where he gained experience defending clients in active litigation and negotiating the early resolution of their issues.

While in law school, Mr. Garcia was president of the Labor and Employment Law Association and assisted in securing a Labor and Employment Law Concentration within the school.
