Anne Marie Hankins

Anne Marie Hankins is a litigator in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office who focuses her practice on complex commercial and healthcare litigation, as well as government investigations.

Ms. Hankins' experience includes representing healthcare providers in government investigations, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and state attorney general offices. In addition, she represents clients in complex litigation disputes involving healthcare fraud, contract disputes and class action defense.

Ms. Hankins also dedicates part of her practice to pro bono work. Most recently, she represented a plaintiff in a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of book restrictions in the Leon County Detention Facility, resulting in a change to the facility's policy and greater access to books for inmates and detainees.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Hankins served as a law clerk to the Honorable Patricia Barksdale of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in the Jacksonville Division. In this role, she assisted with various civil cases involving matters of federal and state law. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Amanda Sansone of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in the Tampa Division.

Prior to law school, Ms. Hankins served as a Teach for America Corps member in Jacksonville. She remains deeply committed to serving the local community.
