Kristian L. Havard

Kristian Havard is a senior policy advisor in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office and a member of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group. With an extensive background representing clients in the transportation, economic development, infrastructure, travel technology, hospitality and aviation sectors, Ms. Havard adeptly manages legislative and regulatory issues for clients at the state, federal and international levels.

Ms. Havard is a seasoned professional with a solid foundation in strategic public affairs management, with a particular focus in executive engagement, coalition building and political consulting. Throughout her career, she has honed a comprehensive skill set encompassing global communications, corporate responsibility, public affairs, executive engagement, media relations and economic development. Recognized for her strategic mindset, Ms. Havard combines forward-thinking approaches with a pragmatic leadership style to achieve tangible outcomes. Passionate about making a global impact, she leverages her diverse experience to drive meaningful change and create opportunities for success in the industries she serves.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Havard served as the head of government affairs at the world's second largest airport, where she demonstrated high-level skills in navigating complex political landscapes, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, and spearheading successful advocacy campaigns. Previously, she served as the leader of the corporate social responsibility division at a global leader in the travel technology industry, as well as held government affairs roles at the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging and Travel Association.

While in college, Ms. Havard served as an aide for the Louisiana State Senate, where she conducted legislative research to support bill analysis and facilitated communication between senators. She also has completed the Political Leaders Program at the University of Virginia's Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
