Overview

Kate Inman is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, where she provides comprehensive representation in the areas of corporate compliance, transactional matters and securities law.

Prior to her return to Holland & Knight, Ms. Inman served as general counsel to a diversified healthcare company with pharmaceutical, diagnostics and laboratory operations across the globe and more than $1 billion in revenues.

As general counsel, Ms. Inman was responsible for legal and compliance oversight, including U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and public company compliance in the U.S. and Israel, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance for research and development (R&D) programs and operating pharmaceutical and diagnostics businesses. She oversaw the company's legal and compliance efforts as it grew from an approximately 15-employee research and development organization to a commercial stage, global pharmaceutical and diagnostics company with thousands of employees.

During this period of rapid growth, Ms. Inman oversaw execution of more than three dozen acquisitions, financing and strategic transactions totaling several billion dollars. She also managed and resolved critical investigations by the SEC, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other state and federal regulators, including qui tam or whistleblower suits initiated under the False Claims Act.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Inman served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Edward B. Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and for the Honorable Peter T. Fay of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
