Margarita Jaramillo

Margarita Jaramillo is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office, where she focuses her practice on tax, corporate and commercial law.

Ms. Jaramillo advises national and international companies on tax matters, as well as corporate and commercial issues arising in their day-to-day operations.

Ms. Jaramillo has experience advising domestic and international clients on commercial and corporate matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, incorporating companies, preparing bylaws and drafting minutes, resolutions and other corporate documents. She also has experience conducting legal due diligence in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Jaramillo focused on tax litigation matters in the coal sector, supporting income tax disputes before the Colombian National Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN) and administrative courts. She also prepared tax memoranda and legal opinions related to Colombian tax legislation and case law.

Previously, Ms. Jaramillo worked in the legal department of a multinational food and beverage company, where she handled contracts supporting the company's day-to-day operations and provided support to various business areas.
