Overview

Kendall P. Kadish is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office, where he focuses his practice on commercial real estate development and finance matters.

Mr. Kadish represents developers, investors and operators in connection with the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing, construction and development of real estate, including data centers, multifamily, office, retail, industrial, healthcare, sports facilities and mixed-use properties. He has also represented lenders and capital providers, including commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) lenders, in loan originations, assumptions, modifications and foreclosure actions.

Additionally, Mr. Kadish has significant experience representing clients in the energy industry, including in complex data center transactions and energy infrastructure projects.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Kadish is actively involved in the community and dedicates both professional and personal time to pro bono and nonprofit work, supporting initiatives focused on outdoor recreation and well-being. He serves on the board of directors for Denver Urban Gardens and Leave No Trace and volunteers with the Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of a family-owned supermarket chain in connection with an equity sale transaction to a publicly listed acquirer involving 49 grocery store locations in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky
  • Representation of a global leader in aluminum production in the negotiation of a public-private partnership (P3) for a channel and port improvement project that involved a project lease agreement, exchange of land, and creation and release of various easements and restrictive covenants that supported the planned future multibillion-dollar development of facilities at the port
  • Representation of an asset management firm, as administrative agent, in connection with the office foreclosure of a $45.575 million structured commercial real estate (CRE) loan for an office building in Denver, Colorado
  • Representation of a leading provider of terminaling, storage, transportation and related services to the energy industry in connection with real estate transactional and finance matters
  • Representation of a provider of healthcare facilities that offers urgent care and emergency room treatment options in connection with the acquisition, joint venture, development and lease of healthcare facilities in Texas, South Carolina and Florida
  • Representation of a private liberal arts college in connection with conservation easement and retail and healthcare services leasing matters in Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Representation of a national wildlife land trust in connection with conservation easement matters in Ohio, Maryland, Michigan and Maine
  • Representation of one of the largest providers of retirement solutions and insurance products in the United States as investment advisor to mortgage lenders in connection with a $73.6 million loan secured by four industrial properties located in Pennsylvania, California, Florida and Texas
  • Representation of a Major League Soccer franchise in site acquisition, assemblage and development matters for its stadium and training center
