Summer King

Summer King represents national nonprofits in trust and estate matters involving contested and uncontested matured bequests. Her proactive approach helps accelerate distributions and increase annual revenue from planned gifts to the charitable, medical, religious and educational organizations they were meant to support.

Before joining Holland & Knight, she worked in legal operations for a Fortune 500, top-50 brokerage firm that specializes in the complex financial needs of wealthy individuals and families, handling legal matters involving financial restraints such as garnishments, freeze orders and record retrieval for employees and clients across the U.S. Her background gives her a practical understanding of how financial institutions handle trust and fiduciary services as well as the legal process affecting accounts.

In the community, Summer has a passion for environmental advocacy and children's rights. While in law school, she logged more than 125 pro bono hours representing abused, abandoned and neglected children as a guardian ad litem. Her commitment to service carries through to her work for mission-driven organizations.
