Overview
William LeDoux is a state and local tax (SALT) attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office. Mr. LeDoux advises clients on Texas and multistate SALT matters, with an emphasis on state and local incentives, complex tax controversies, and tax planning and transactional support. Mr. LeDoux also routinely works on tax-related legislative efforts.
Mr. LeDoux advises clients on a range of tax issues – including income, sales and use, franchise, and property and unclaimed property matters – helping businesses navigate compliance, audits and dispute resolution in jurisdictions across the U.S. His clients include taxpayers from various industries, and he has extensive experience advising and representing e-commerce retailers, manufacturers, data center and renewable energy developers and operators, and companies in the healthcare, software and technology, sporting goods and travel spaces.
Mr. LeDoux has significant experience representing taxpayers in administrative and judicial proceedings and has advised on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, business restructurings, asset and stock transactions, leases and tax incentive opportunities. He regularly counsels clients on state-specific tax regimes and multistate planning strategies.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. LeDoux was an attorney at a global law firm, where he built a broad-based SALT practice encompassing both transactional and controversy matters. His work included representing clients before state departments of revenue and advising on evolving tax regulations and legislative developments.
