Overview

Kristen Lyons is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Ms. Lyons focuses her practice on financing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, commercial leasing and other transactions involving real property across all asset classes.

In addition, Ms. Lyons regularly advises clients on matters relevant to affordable multifamily housing projects, including negotiating with various local, state and federal regulatory authorities in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing and management of such properties. She has also served as real estate counsel on several corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Lyons was an attorney at a national law firm in its New York office.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of a national owner/operator of affordable multifamily properties on the acquisition and financing of multifamily affordable properties across the U.S. and obtaining related consents and approvals from state and local regulatory authorities, including notable California acquisitions of a 120-unit multifamily senior and affordable housing project in West Sacramento and a two-property portfolio of 297 multifamily affordable units in Novato
  • Representation of a national owner/operator of affordable multifamily properties on the refinancing of existing debt for multifamily properties across the U.S., including properties in California, Illinois, Washington and New Jersey – collectively, approximately $110 million of new debt
  • Representation of an owner-developer in the $112.5 million construction financing of a multifamily development located in San Jose, California
  • Representation of a national grocer in acquisitions, leasing and major real estate-related matters throughout the U.S.
