Maria Malaver-Reyes

Maria-Jose Malaver-Reyes is a labor and employment attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office who focuses her practice on conducting and managing sensitive workplace investigations, counseling employers on employee management issues and defending employers in labor and employment disputes. Ms. Malaver-Reyes advises clients nationwide and has extensive experience working with, training and counseling Spanish-speaking workforces.

Ms. Malaver-Reyes regularly advises employers on a wide range of workplace compliance matters, including leaves of absence, accommodation requests, employee relations issues, and the implementation and enforcement of workplace policies and procedures. She also represents businesses before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts in matters involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, trade secret litigation and labor relations issues.

Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Malaver-Reyes provides workplace training, conducts investigations and counsels clients in both English and Spanish. Her practical, business-focused approach helps employers address workplace concerns efficiently while minimizing risk.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Malaver-Reyes practiced labor and employment law in Denver, representing employers in workplace investigations, employment litigation and day-to-day counseling matters. She advised employers on compliance and workforce management issues and defended clients in proceedings before administrative agencies and courts.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Malaver-Reyes worked in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of General Counsel.
