Overview
Allyson R. Mancuso is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Birmingham office. Ms. Mancuso's practice focuses on managing all aspects of complex litigation, from pre-trial motions and discovery to trial strategy and appellate advocacy, and encompasses class action litigation, appeals, commercial dispute resolution, financial services litigation, restrictive covenant enforcement, trade secrets disputes and healthcare litigation.
Ms. Mancuso has defended high-stakes commercial litigation involving, among other things, business torts, telecommunications litigation, financial services disputes, mortgage litigation and healthcare litigation. In addition to defense work, she has pursued high-value contractual disputes on behalf of healthcare companies and has assisted physician practices with the certificate of need (CON) process in Alabama.
Clients rely on Ms. Mancuso to develop impactful litigation strategy, argue novel legal issues and manage complex class actions. Her deep understanding of procedural and substantive law helps her to deliver successful outcomes for her clients.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Mancuso defended companies in financial services litigation, regulatory matters and class actions for a regional law firm in its Birmingham office. She also gained significant experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mass arbitration in the financial services sector.
While in law school, Ms. Mancuso served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William M. Ray II of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and was an active member of the school's Moot Court Society.

- Class Action Defense: Lead associate defending a putative class action involving claims of improper fees in rental purchase agreements
- Financial Services Litigation: Lead associate defending a large national bank in a series of cases involving counterfeit checks
- Healthcare Litigation: Appellate counsel for an orthopedic surgery practice defending an agency's decision to award certificate of need for an outpatient surgery center
