Overview

Christopher R. Murphy is a financial services attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office where he represents banks, businesses and financial institutions in class action and individual cases throughout the country. Mr. Murphy has extensive experience in matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and various other consumer protection and fraud acts in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration.

Mr. Murphy also routinely represents clients in disputes involving commercial and consumer mortgages, revolving credit accounts, auto loans, forfeiture and replevin of automobiles and assets, commercial debt collection and business contract disputes.
