Overview

Brian A. Piper is a Miami real estate and finance attorney who focuses his practice on real estate transactions, financings and development projects. Mr. Piper represents clients in a variety of commercial and residential transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects and leases.

Mr. Piper has experience across a wide range of asset classes, including the development of multi-family, industrial, office, retail, hotel, mixed-use and self-storage projects. He also guides clients through complex issues related to distressed properties, such as loan workouts, forbearances and modifications.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Piper was a real estate attorney in the Miami office of a national law firm, where he represented clients in various aspects of real estate and finance transactions.

While in law school, Mr. Piper was a member of the Florida Law Review.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a developer based in Miami in connection with the acquisition of vacant land in Miami-Dade County, Florida for a residential development project
  • Represented a national lender in connection with a mortgage loan that was provided to a real estate investment company acquiring a five-property multi-family portfolio in Miami-Dade County
  • Represented a national real estate investment company in connection with a joint venture to acquire and finance a residential community in Florida
