Katie Princivalle

Overview
Katie Princivalle is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Philadelphia office, where she represents clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums. Ms. Princivalle has experience in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, appearing at court hearings and conferences, trying high-stakes cases and handling appeals.
Ms. Princivalle takes a practical approach to helping clients solve problems, with a particular focus on high-stakes litigation and crisis management. To avoid the prospect of litigation, she has led numerous internal workplace investigations involving all types of employment-related matters for high-level employees and executives. Ms. Princivalle also advises clients regarding ways to enhance and refine their policies and regulatory compliance programs on a wide variety of issues.
In addition, Ms. Princivalle is an active community member and maintains a robust pro bono practice, including managing a Firmwide pro bono effort that has helped more than 60 Afghan refugees attain asylum and/or permanent residency. She repeatedly has been recognized for her work on this project.
While in law school, Ms. Princivalle served as a research assistant to Professor Tabatha Abu El-Haj and assisted in researching and drafting an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in Mckesson v. Doe regarding the chilling effect tort law claims would have if used against First Amendment-protected protests. She also served as a student attorney for the Andy and Gwen Stern Community Lawyering Clinic, where her work included a submission to the United Nations condemning the use of nonlethal weapons during protest. Additionally, Ms. Princivalle was the executive articles editor of the Drexel Law Review.
