Overview
George G. Robertson is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office. Mr. Robertson focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters and regularly handles disputes in the financial, oil and gas, railroad, healthcare and consumer financial services industries.
Mr. Robertson is experienced in a broad array of civil litigation matters in the state and federal courts of Texas, Georgia and South Carolina. He has significant experience in disputes involving complex business matters, trade secret misappropriation, consumer protection, product liability and general tort claims. Mr. Robertson has experience in all aspects of litigation, including summary judgment, trying cases, settlement, and representing clients on appeal and in arbitrations.
In addition, Mr. Robertson has substantial knowledge and experience in electronic discovery (e-discovery) practices, from preparing for anticipated e-discovery to the managed review and ultimate production of electronically stored information (ESI). His focus is on streamlining and cost-saving measures, given the often large-scale data involved.
Mr. Robertson is committed to the pro bono initiatives of Holland & Knight, and regularly represents those who are underserved in the community in various matters. Outside of the office, Mr. Robertson volunteers as a committeeman with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which raises and donates millions of dollars in scholarships, grants and graduate assistantship each year to Texas college students.

- Represented a historic church in an easement and real estate development dispute in Georgia
- Represented an international building materials company as a third party to an antitrust suit in South Carolina
- Represented a Class I railroad in litigation matters in state and federal courts involving the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) and general tort disputes
- Obtained a favorable verdict, including punitive damages, for an estate in a breach of fiduciary duty dispute against the executor in Georgia
