Overview
Susan Wegner is a Washington, D.C., environmental and energy attorney who focuses her practice on environmental considerations in business transactions, environmental regulatory research and analysis, and renewable energy strategy development and implementation.
Ms. Wegner has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer and consultant, and is committed to finding useful and creative solutions to regulatory and business challenges for clients. She has worked on behalf of many Fortune 100 companies, including transportation and manufacturing businesses, in addition to logistics, data center and other high-tech corporations. Ms. Wegner counsels clients on regulatory compliance and enforcement issues, as well as creating 21st century renewable energy solutions, including conducting due diligence, partner exploration, and project implementation on various renewable energy projects including solar and wind projects, Section 8 housing rooftop solar partnerships, and international corporate renewable energy strategies. Additionally, she has spent time working with companies focused on developing or improving renewable energy goals, encouraging supplier buy-in for renewable energy use, and consideration of local, state, and federal grant programs related to solar and wind projects.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Wegner has worked in law firms, corporations and consulting practices. Her background enables her to offer clients experience that is useful in meshing environmental and energy business concerns with real-life implementation strategies.
In addition to her environmental and energy focus, Ms. Wegner has experience with sustainability reporting, as well as other green corporate report development and metrics adoption. She also supports the firm's Political Law and High-Stakes Communications teams.
