Maritime Partner Vincent J. Foley is a featured speaker at the 2008 Connecticut Maritime Association Shipping Conference. Mr. Foley is speaking on the legal panel and presenting, "The ERIKA Judgment: A Sea Change in Environmental Liability for the Maritime Community."

Vincent J. Foley practices primarily in the area of international complex litigation arising out of vessel casualties including collisions, groundings, explosions, fires and oil spills. Mr. Foley has participated in all aspects of oil spill litigation, oil pollution prevention seminars, formal response drills and oil spill response training. He has represented clients in multi-jurisdictional limitation of liability actions, and has advised clients on environmental policy and compliance issues, defense of civil claims and penalties, and in defense of criminal prosecutions for environmental crimes and oily water separator issues. He has extensive experience in all aspects of pre-trial discovery, depositions, and trials in federal courts, and commercial arbitrations.
