Municipal Bond Industry Panel

National League of Cities Public Finance Consortium Fall Meeting
Seminar
October 27, 2010
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel
Nashville, TN

Financial Services Partners Mitchell Herr and Randolph DelFranco will speak on a Municipal Bond Industry Panel at the National League of Cities Public Finance Consortium Fall Meeting.

The Public Finance Consortium was launched three years ago as a joint venture between the National League of Cities (NLC) and state league bond pools. Its purpose is to provide a forum to share best practices, discuss legislative and regulatory issues, and explain program features and new initiatives.

The Fall Meeting will include:

  • A panel of municipal bond industry experts, who will discuss what has been happening in the municipal bond market, increased SEC monitoring and regulation of the municipal securities market, and other timely issues
  • A roundtable discussion with Public Finance Consortium members on state league bond pool activities, including a case study of the operations of the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund
  • A legislative and regulatory update that will include a review of federal legislative issues affecting the municipal bond market and updates on a new conduit issuing bond authority and NLC’s mutual bond insurance company proposal
