Photovoltaics: How to Identify Investors and Funding Sources
Seminar
February 24, 2011
NanoFab South Auditorium and Rotunda, The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering

Holland & Knight will sponsor this year's New Energy New York Tech Valley Energy Forum titled "Photovoltaics: How to Identify Investors and Funding Sources." Technology Partner Richard Raysman and Venture Capital and Private Equity Partner Jeff Seul will speak on a panel at the event.

Panelists will discuss developing technologies that take advantage of the clean, abundant energy of the sun to reduce greenhouse gasses and help stimulate the economy. Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight directly into electricity and are made of semiconductors, such as crystalline silicon or various thin-film materials. Photovoltaics can provide small amounts of power for watches, large amounts for the electric grid and everything in between. Panelists will address what is up-and-coming in the photovoltaics industry and what venture capitalists and other investors are looking for in 2011.
