2019 Real Estate Law and Business Forum

Real Estate Partners Susan Booth and Doug Praw will be speaking at USC Gould School of Law 2019 Real Estate Law and Business Forum in Los Angeles on April 11, 2019. This event will focus on disruptive economics and its effect on real estate, and how the changes in demographics, lifestyle and technology are affecting the industry.

Ms. Booth will also serve as co-chair and will participate in the welcome and opening remarks during the program.

Mr. Praw will speak on "Cannabis Real Estate: Legal and Ethical Issues Facing the Industry" and the legal, ethical and business issues that surround the constantly evolving cannabis industry as it pertains to real estate. The panel will also analyze the newly minted permanent regulations issued by the Bureau of Cannabis Control, federal and state tax issues and the ethical guidelines governing lawyers and real estate professionals.

Ms. Booth will speak on "Lightning Round: Cutting Edge Topics that Every Real Estate Professional Needs to Know." The panel will cover all current knowledge and practical advice on a wide range of topics that could impact your real estates deals this year. Ms. Booth will discuss the expanded regulations on foreign investment into real estate, practical experience in dealing with fraudulent EB-5 transactions and the updates on the phasing out of LIBOR.
