Airspace Closures, Conflict Zones, and International Safety Oversight: Challenges in International Aviation

Aviation attorney Anita Mosner will participate in the American Bar Association's Forum on Air & Space Law in Montreal. Her session is titled "Airspace Closures, Conflict Zones, and International Safety Oversight: Challenges in International Aviation" and will take place on the first day of the two-day conference. Panelists will explore how the changing geopolitical landscape has increased the risks for civil aviation over or near conflict zones as well as how international regulations have become more complex and contentious. They will also provide insights on the role of regulators and organizations in overseeing international safety and security, risk assessment management systems and tools for air operators, air restrictions and sanctions on airline partnerships and legal remedies available through national courts or international tribunals.
