Timely Topics for ESOP Board of Directors

Attorney Renee Lewis, who co-chairs Holland & Knight's ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plans) practice, will participate in The ESOP Association's 2023 Midwest Chapter Regional Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ms. Lewis' presentation will take place on the final day of the three-day conference and will offer insights on a variety of topics relevant for ESOP boards of directors. Speakers will cover areas including ESOP benefit levels, distribution policies, repurchase obligations and the long-term viability of the ESOP structure. They will also address issues related to economic adversity, such as the effects of declining stock values, employee perceptions of an ESOP's value, and balancing liquidity needs and repurchase obligations.
