Philadelphia Tax Primer: Your Guide to City Taxes

Tax attorney Jennifer Karpchuk will speak during the Philadelphia Bar Association's virtual CLE program providing an overview of Philadelphia taxes for businesses, individuals and practitioners. The event will consist of four panels covering the city's statutory authority to implement taxes, wage and net profits taxes affecting individuals and pass-through entities, recent changes to the Business and Income Receipt Tax (BIRT), and the Use and Occupancy Tax. Ms. Karpchuk will participate in the wage and net profits tax panel, sharing analysis of case law updates regarding these measures along with new guidance pertaining to them.
