International Issues for Private Foundations

Tax-Exempt Organizations and Philanthropy attorney Alexandra Mitchell will present at Georgetown University Law Center's 2026 Private Foundation Summit, which convenes attorneys, certified public accountants (CPAs) and other private-sector-focused advisors to examine tax and legal developments affecting private foundations. Ms. Mitchell's session will explore international giving, touching on costs associated with visas, tariffs and national security, along with compliance risks and rules to be wary of when pursuing global giving opportunities. She will also talk about tools to use for international donation and revenue-raising efforts.
