Litigation attorneys James Power and Andrew Balthazor will speak at the 2026 OffshoreAlert Miami conference, which focuses on international financial crime investigation, asset recovery and judgment enforcement. Holland & Knight will sponsor this three-day event convening investigators, litigators and claimants, banks, investors, regulators, insolvency professionals and more to share insights on topics including major fraud schemes, fraud prevention, money laundering – including the emerging role of cryptocurrency – and artificial intelligence and information gathering.

Mr. Powers will participate in a presentation on effective judgment enforcement techniques. He will explore how to use discovery to locate assets, how to obtain cross-border recognition, how to work effectively with law enforcement, as well as potential problems and costs throughout the process. Mr. Balthazor's session will focus on crypto assets, from why many criminals nowadays are converting proceeds into crypto to how to locate and seize laundered cryptocurrency.
