Attorney Vivian Thoreen discusses the trends in Pre-Death Litigation at the Hawaii Tax Institute Conference 2018. Ms. Thoreen provided her insights into the growing trends of elder abuse and pre-death contests that family members are litigating against. A pre-death contest is when a family member believes that an elderly parent is being taken advantage of by another family member, care giver or a close friend who convinced the parent to change their estate plan.
