California's Push to Hire Undocumented Immigrants

Immigration Leon Fresco joined the Bloomberg Law Podcast to offer a legal perspective on California's push to hire undocumented individuals at state universities. The state is relying on an untested legal theory to be able to hire undocumented students and staff. Mr. Fresco examined whether the state is considered an employer by the federal government and whether certain federal employment laws apply to the state government. He also explained what California taxpayers would have to do to be able to sue the state.
