Legal Perspectives on Recent California Climate Change Legislation

Due to rapidly evolving regulatory activities and court cases, 2008 was a busy year for California's climate change landscape. Because California is considered a forerunner state for environmental regulations, its efforts on climate change will be closely watched and potentially emulated as other states and the federal government address the issue. The article looks at recent environmental legislative initiatives in California and the litigation related to these policies. In addition, it speculates about further legal challenges and other guidelines that may be established.
