Equitable Considerations in Dissent Appraisal and Oppression Valuation Proceedings Regarding Fair Value [Part Two]

Bloomberg Law Reports
Michael J. Zdeb

Chair of the Shareholder Rights, Relations and Dispute Resolution Group Mike Zdeb authored a Bloomberg Law Reports article titled "Equitable Considerations in Dissent Appraisal and Oppression Valuation Proceedings Regarding Fair Value."

The article is the second in a two-part series appearing in Bloomberg Law Reports in which Mr. Zdeb discusses the relationship between the fair value legal concept used in appraisal actions and the valuation standards of various professional associations employed in providing expert testimony and reports. Whereas the first article identifies the primary standards employed and the relationship of the legal concept of fair value to the standard of value, the premise of value and the level of value of those appraisal standards, the second installment discusses a number of related issues that impact the appraisal process and determination of fair value.
