Bitcoin Will Find No First Amendment Refuge

In a post for the FIU Law Review Blog, Litigation Attorney Andrew Balthazor discusses the faulted theory that blockchain software, like Bitcoin, is protected under the First Amendment and exempt from regulation. This theory is based in connections made between the software and the freedoms of speech, press, association and speech redux. Mr. Balthazor argues that by believing all information in the Information Age can be protected, we dilute the purpose of First Amendment protection.
