5th Circ. OT Ruling Widens Path For Employer FLSA Liability
Labor and Employment attorneys Meghan McCaig and Peter Hall co-authored an article in Law360 on a recent ruling made by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit that a highly paid oil rig worker did not qualify for the highly compensated exemption to the Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA) overtime pay requirements. In their article, the authors analyze the Hewitt v. Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. case and the effect that this ruling will have on the oil and gas industry.
