Who Can Claim the Guarantee of Common Property?

Real Estate attorney Lorena Martínez wrote a column for Asuntos Legales where she analyzes a recent ruling by Colombia's Supreme Court of Justice on who can claim the guarantee of common property in a horizontal property. Ms. Martínez explains that although the law empowers the administrator, the Court considered that the co-owners as consumers are also entitled to do so. However, she warns that this interpretation cannot be detrimental to procedural principles.
