Cyclists Turn Tragedy Into Action in Tallahassee
The Miami Herald
A group of cyclists in Miami lobbied for tougher penalties against drivers who leave the scene of a crash causing death or injury after the hit-and-run death of fellow cyclist Aaron Cohen in 2012. Public Policy & Regulation Senior Policy Advisor Kimberly Case assisted the cyclists on a pro bono basis. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is likely to sign the Aaron Cohen Life Protection Act into law later this month.
