Key Takeaways: ACA Will Put Added Strain on Businesses

The Jacksonville Business Journal held a health care panel discussion focused on the issues both small and large employers need to consider as mandates from the Affordable Health Care Act begin to impact the workplace in 2015.
Litigation Partner Chris Schwing, who was a panelist at the discussion, said, “I think you’re going to see more employers starting to implement wellness plans for their employees, such as reimbursements for gym members or cash rewards for health screenings. But you’ll have to offer these benefits to all your employees as well as satisfy certain conditions [under the ACA] for incentives."
